What's the best present you gave this year?
hard to say... based on reaction, it's a tie between the satchel i got for andrew, and the book i got for mwewa.
the best present i received is easy... a shiny new powerbook!!!! i mentioned to andrew a while ago that i would like to learn video editing while on mat leave, and he actually got me a computer i can do that on!!! i am so stunned and excited!!!
well erin is always bugging me to get stuff posted here, so here i go.
every time i think i have everything done and won't have to leave the house again until after christmas, something happens. like i realise that while i have got all necessary groceries for the big meals, we don't actually have any milk or eggs.
or, to top it all off, my stupid tooth - the one my dentist was keeping an eye on because the filling needs replacing, but he didn't want to touch it until after the thumper is born in a couple of weeks - my stupid tooth fell apart! so, i just got back from the emergency dentist. yippee.
anyway, here is a picture of some bread i baked, using the magic super-easy new york times no-knead recipe that all the kids are talking about. normally i am lousy at bread, so this is quite stellar for me. it seems to taste pretty good too, although i haven't been able to sample the crust due to my dental emergency. grr, grr.
